Tavarua is a 29 acre private resort, nestled in the Mamuanca chain of the Fijian Islands.  Tavarua boasts beautiful white sand beaches, exotic coral reefs, friendly islanders and arguably two of the top 10 waves on Earth.  The island's awesome beauty and challenging surf make it a top destination spot for the LaGuerdo Brothers who have visited the islands on four separate occasions.

The Trip Begins

Getting to Tavarua was an adventure in itself. Once the group landed at the Nadi airport the energy level shot through the roof. Word has it that a new south swell had begun to hit just as we arrived. After hearing the news everyone forgot aboutthe jet lag and was psyched to hit the water.

On the Island

Life on Tavarua can be just as exciting as surfing itswaves.  Whether it was dancing with deadly sea snakes, taking in some Fijian culture during the kava ceremony, sharing surfstories over a couple of beers or just enjoying the islands natural beauty the LaGuerdo Brothers know how to enjoy the island. Below are just a handful of photos taken throughout the LaGuerdostay.

The Waves

Restaurants is sick... plain and simple.  It's one ofthe fastest, hollowest lefts on the planet.  When you'relined up directly in front of the restaurant you can see on comingsets roping around the island a couple hundred yards to the right. Its when that set wraps around and starts jacking up off of the shallow reef is when you really feel the juice.
